The CEBL’s Third All Time Leading Scorer is Back in the Endsss

Amidst the best start in franchise history at 9-1, the Scarborough Shooting Stars announced Sunday that they have resigned guard Cat Barber.

Barber and Scarborough guard Myles Powell will immediately create the most electrifying and accomplished backcourt in the CEBL when Barber suits up this afternoon against the Niagara River Lions

Barber has spent the past three seasons with the Shooting Stars and is the franchise all time leader in Points (829), 3PM (103), Assists (240), Steals (67) and Target Score Winners (7). He was a critical part of their 2023 championship season, leading the team in points, assists, and steals.

He currently sits at 1,399 career CEBL points, 31 points away from Niagara’s Khalil Ahmad for second place all time and 149 away from Ahmed Hill (who is currently inactive) from first place.

Barber is a two time All CEBL First Team member (2023, 2024) and two time All CEBL Second Team member (2021, 2022). He made league history once when he scored 24 consecutive points on July 13, 2023 in a thrilling win against the Edmonton Stingers.

The veteran pro has played in 10 different countries and multiple leagues including the NBA and the NBA G League.
