Scarborough Shooting Stars Re-Sign Michael Foster Jr
Versatile front court piece back for his second season in Scarborough
The Scarborough Shooting Stars have re-signed 6'10 forward Michael Foster Jr for the remainder of the 2026 season, the club announced Wednesday.
For the second year in a row, Foster is joining the Shooting Stars for the stretch run. Last year he played six games for Scarborough, posting an impactful 14.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. So far this season, he helped Scarborough to a big win against rival Ottawa Blackjacks when he recorded 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in the game on Wednesday.
Foster is a well-rounded strong defensive forward. He skipped college, instead choosing to go straight to the NBA G-League Ignite program and play against grown men when he was only 18 years old. This has given Foster five years of pro basketball experience by the age of 23. He's played three seasons in the G League, with career averages of 9.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks over 86 games.
He's also played professionally in Puerto Rico, Isreal and and Africa, most recently averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds for Dar City Tanzania in the Basketball Africa League.
